Over 1,200 Wharton Alumni live and work in Japan. Joining our Wharton Club is one of the best ways for you to leverage the power of the Wharton network and to develop your career in this area. If you're far outside of the metro Tokyo area, you're still welcome to join our Club, and work with us on events closer to your home or office, of interest to others in this opportunity-rich region.

  • Networking! at Bistro En Ballon in Tokyo, owned by one of our WG alumni, is held once a quarter.  This WCJ Networking! aims to provide a venue where younger alumni can meet and get to know experienced Wharton Alumni with a wealth of professional experience and wisdom, and discuss various subjects ranging from particular industries to career development thoughts and ideas in a casual setting.  A number of "Senior" Wharton Alumni are participating in the events.

  •  Wharton Faculty lecture series. We proudly host the Faculty master classes.  From 2014 to 2016, David Bell, Saikat Chaudhuri, Stuart Daimond, Michael Useem, Harbir Shin, Bulent Gultekin provided us with their state-of-the-art lectures.

  • Annual General Meeting, Once a year we held AGM and around 100 alumni attend,  On top of reporting club activities, we also locally celebrate class reunion for the corresponding year alumni.       

  • Board room seminars (in Japanese). The series feature high-profile keynote speakers, moderators and panelists.  By leveraging 1,200 networking in Japan, we have so far invited the world's top female car racer, the deputy governor of Bank of Japan, the 400m hurdle World Championship medalist, as well as senior business executives.

  • Proactive networking programs with peer school's alumni associations – In January next year, we are planning a networking event with INSEAD Alumni Association to cerebrate Wharton-INSEAD 15th reunion.
